We'll be restored

what we destroyed 
inside and out

when we regain 
our roots into the earth, 
into the ancient history 
and deeply hidden sources 
that once brought us forth 
and nurtured us 
and still ...

but with our heads 
lifted unto a sky 
of our own making 
we got lost 
and went astray
