Decapitated and dismembered, 
headless corpses, 
zombies walking 
as though nothing happened, 
nothing of importance anyway.

Things should go on; 
business as usual.

People as human beings 
do not count, 
they have no value 
in themselves.

They should be made 
to fit into the system, 
cold, insensitive to 
what a human being needs, 
the system’s needs 
are all that counts.

Chop off, dismember and adapt 
till all that still remains 
is hardly recognizable 
as human. 
Just a cog into the system’s 
sacrosanct integrity.

So what?
