I'm Indian, you know. 
And to prevent misunderstanding: 
I'm from India, not from America.

Although I am not 
tied to land or place or time 
or a specific culture, 
being a free spirit 
so to say,

my roots are here, 
in India, from where I grow 
towards the sun, 
in freedom and respect.

I'm Indian, you know, 
but I am more than that, 
just like you are!
