Nick Ghafari is one of the many artists that I found on Facebook. His characteristic, somewhat convoluted, knotty style  suggests struggle. From the first art that I saw of him, I am intrigued and often his works inspires a poem, that with all the others, I'm proud to share here. Over 50 combinations by now, and more will certainly come!

Nick Ghafari was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and migrated to the United States after the Soviet invasion of 1979. He was heavily influenced by German Expressionism early on in his career; paired with his experiences of war and migration, they have shaped his philosophy on life and expression as an artist. Nick currently resides in Los Angeles, California where he continues to evolve and refine his style of artistic expression.
