Traveling through twilight zone 
while singing songs 
of light and life 
that keep away 
the darkness and the cold 
of night.

The captain at the rudder 
a mirage, 
a shimmering 
of days ahead 
silently steering 
for the future coast 
that brings us home.

A boat of life indeed, 
like Noah’s ark 
but merrier 
and lighter 
for the songs, 
the hope and dreams 
that shared 
among the passengers 
set hearts on fire 
and make the days to come 
more real and warming 
than the night around 
that’s kept at bay 
this way

until the future shore, 
the coming home 
becomes 
reality at last
