She has been waiting
long enough
while summer
turned to autumn.

So everyone
would understand
when she'd stand up
and walk away,
think 'Screw 'em!'

But she's a lady
as you know,
so there she is
and does not go.

And when he
finally shows up
she looks him up
and shuts him up:

I don't want your apology!
You are too late!
And off goes she.
