'Just be yourself!'

It sounds so easy, 
but my god, 
each time I go outside 
I almost fall apart!

The people and the  colors, 
sounds and smells 
they pull at me 
from every side

and sometimes I have trouble 
to remember who 'I' am.

This color? That one? 
People all around 
am I that woman there, 
that man, that child?

This dog perhaps, 
that bird there up the tree?

Free as a bird! 
That's what I'd like to be.

But I'm connected 
with so many fibers 
to the world around ... 
Am I the world?

'Just be yourself!' 
Please, can you tell me 
how?
